Recommended Supplies
Three quality items. That is all you need to begin. Durable, serious, and affordable — so you can start the system, not shop for it.
Durable 2-Inch Heavy Duty 3-Ring Binder
- ✓ Reinforced spine and strong ring mechanism
- ✓ Slant D rings or EZD rings for better page turning
- ✓ View cover so you can label the front, spine, and back
2 inches is the sweet spot. Roomy enough for the full system, not so big it feels like a project binder. I tested several sizes and came back to this one every time. Once your binder has tabs, pages, and sections filled in, you will be glad you went with 2 inches.
24 lb 3-Hole Punched Paper, Letter Size
- ✓ Less bleed-through and better durability under daily use
- ✓ Feels more substantial, which matches the purpose of the binder
- ✓ Pre-punched saves time — no hole punch required to start
If 24 lb pre-punched is hard to find, 20 lb pre-punched is fine. Both print clean and hold up well. The heavier weight is slightly more durable over time, but do not let paper specs slow you down.
Avery Write & Erase Pocket Plastic Dividers, 8-Tab Set
- ✓ Tabs extend beyond sheet protectors so labels stay visible
- ✓ Write and erase plastic so you can reuse and relabel as the binder evolves
- ✓ Front pocket holds loose papers and unpunched sheets when life gets messy
- ✓ Big Tab insertable design gives more label space than standard tabs
- ✓ Tear resistant, wipes clean with most non abrasive household cleaners
If you are starting with only one set of dividers, choose eight tabs. It covers the core sections without gaps. You can always add more as the system grows — the binder is designed to expand with you.
Print & Assemble
Don't print everything at once. Start small, get stable, then add sections as you go.
Print These Pages First
To avoid feeling overwhelmed, start with only these pages before printing the rest of the binder.
- Page 4 — Quick Start Card (front pocket)
- Page 5 — 00 Start Here First
- Page 6 — 01 System Map
- Page 7 — 02 What This Fixes
- Page 8 — 03 How To Use This Binder
- Page 10 — 1.1 Physical Limits
- Page 11 — 1.2 Energy Rules
- Page 12 — 1.3 Values and Boundaries
- Page 13 — 1.4 Minimum Day
Print the Quick Start Card first and put it in the front pocket. Print the Start Here pages (00–03) and read them once before anything else. Then print Section 1 and begin using it. Only add additional sections once you feel stable and consistent.
Start Small. Stay Consistent.
Get the basics in hand, print the Start Here section, and begin. Add more only when you are stable and ready.
